You can place waypoints at points of interest. Waypoints can be added in several ways: at known coordinates, at the current GPS coordinate, or by tapping at the desired location on the map. And in Trace mode a waypoint can be added at a point on the recorded track.
You can make a waypoint active using Select Waypoint in the Waypt. menu. If the GPS is active, the box in the lower right corner shows the distance and direction to the waypoint (relative to the current position and heading). Great for geocaching!
