| Quick Tour: Download a map (2/9)
nhGPS does not include any map images, but it can download web pages and use images from these as maps.
The download engine is configurable and comes preconfigured for several (third party) websites offering free maps.
If you have configured an Internet account on the phone then you can download maps wherever you are. Otherwise,
maps can still be downloaded through your PC's internet connection when the phone is in the cradle.
With the GPS connected and having a satellite fix, simple choose Download map from the Map menu. After selecting a website and the desired
map scale, the web page will be downloaded. The map image is extracted from the web page and your position
and track are indicated on the map.
Instead of downloading a map for the current GPS location, it's also possible to download a map for a specific
location by tapping on the desired position on the screen and choosing Download map from the popup menu.
You can for example quickly download a detailed city map by tapping on the city on a (previously downloaded) country map.
